Milan Design Week 2026 is once again the global meeting point for innovation, furniture, and architecture, focusing this year on "Essere Progetto" (Be the Project) for Fuorisalone.
This edition invites people to see design as a dynamic process focused on the human connections with digital technology, the circular economy, material innovation, emotional architecture, and experimental creative processes.
The city will be divided into several creative districts, each presenting exhibitions with a unique perspective.

Zaha Hadid Architects collaborated with Audi to present an installation that spotlights contemporary architecture in perfect harmony with the brand's progressive, futuristic values.

Metamorphosis in Motion

It is a pink-hued labyrinth that welcomes visitors to MoscaPartners' Variations 2026 exhibition at Palazzo Litta. The Paris-based, Lebanese-born architect created her first site-specific, outdoor solo work in Italy.
It is formed from curved, geometric modules and features shifting perspectives and a sequential path that subtly guides visitors' movements.

Located at Torre Velasca, in the Missori area, it is a five-story exhibition space featuring over 20 international brands, along with a calendar of events and collaborations. It offers a complete experience where exhibitions, cultural programming, and community life coexist.

Dropcity
By the students at the Italian university Politecnico di Milano
An exhibition that explores the political symbolism of the White House as a case study on domestic propaganda through its performative architecture that intertwines intimacy, representation, and media democracy.
The exhibition features seven installations spread throughout the tunnel. Each installation focuses on a different aspect of the White House, such as the spaces used by service staff and the gifts received by U.S. presidents throughout history.

When Apricots Blossom

Curated by architect Kulapat Yantrasast, twelve designers collaborate with Uzbek artisans to present an exhibition that celebrates Uzbek craft from a contemporary perspective.
Drawing inspiration from a poem by renowned Uzbek writer Hamid Olimjon, the exhibition explores themes of hope, renewal, and resilience. It features a colorful tapestry draped across the palazzo's façade, orchard-inspired floral installations, and reinterpretations of bread trays and stamps in homage to the sacred role of bread in Uzbek culture.

Grand Hotel and La Casa Magica

Curated by Nina Yashar, The Grand Hotel Nilufar installation offers an immersive experience that explores a fictional yet tangible hotel where collectible design, craftsmanship, and storytelling converge.
Across the city, Italian studio Space Caviar designed the setting for La Casa Magica, which was curated by Valentina Ciuffi. It explores the home as a symbolic, ritual space through objects drawn from diverse geographical and cultural contexts that engage with belief and symbolism.
